Environmental communication is not only about facts, but about how those facts are framed, felt and understood.
I work with environmental and sustainability-related content where complexity, ethics and responsibility meet visual storytelling. My role is to help translate environmental themes, research and societal questions into visual forms that invite reflection rather than simplify the subject.
This can include editorial design, illustration, visual concepts and publications that support dialogue around environmental change.
UOMA — Student Journal on Environment & Sustainability
UOMA is a student-run journal rooted in the Master’s programme in Environmental Change and Global Sustainability (ECGS) at the University of Helsinki. I have contributed to the visual design and layout of the journal, working with editorial structure, typography and imagery to support the themes of environmental change, responsibility and interconnectedness.
The visual approach reflects the journal’s core idea: environmental issues are layered, complex and often ambiguous. Rather than offering simple answers, the design invites the reader to pause, observe and engage with the content on a deeper level.
